Equipment manufacturer client companies have the option of having their equipment recognized as having been verified by an independent Third-Party Equipment Evaluator. The Third-Party Equipment Conformance Evaluation will demonstrate a higher and preferred level of certification through the Bakery Equipment Assessment Group process.

Note:

a. A registered company may have equipment items certified through the Internal Conformance Assessment process and choose to select individual equipment items for the Third-Party Conformance Evaluation process.

b. Companies serving as distributors may choose to have Third-Party Conformance Evaluation performed for specific equipment items they distribute through their business.

c. Retail businesses may choose or may be required by the local, county or state health department(s) to have Third-Party Conformance Evaluation(s) performed for specific or various equipment items. Evidence of equipment conforming to a hygienic design standard may be required by the health department prior to the retail establishment operation.

APPLICATION PROCESS (A link to apply is provided below.)

1. Registered companies wishing to utilize the optional Third-Party Conformance Evaluation to establish independent conformance verification of their equipment with ANSI/ASB/Z50.2-2015 (R2020) must apply for Third-Party Conformance Evaluation for each equipment item.

2. Application fees for Third-Party Conformance Evaluation per equipment item are $275.00 USD and are required to be renewed on an annual basis. Payment of all fees will take place after evaluation and before the post-evaluation process begins.

3. When the application for Third-Party Conformance Evaluation is received, an independent Third-Party Conformance Evaluator will be assigned by BEAG and scheduling will take place between the independent evaluator and the registered company.

   1. Daily Fee for Third-Party Conformance Evaluation: $1775.00 USD per day plus associated travel expenses. Daily fees are subject to change.

   2. Travel expenses will include applicable expenditures when required, for example: airfare, hotel, rental car, rental car fuel, mileage (if personal vehicle used), meals, parking, tolls, and other related subsistence and travel related expenses.

4. The independent Third-Party Conformance Evaluator will submit their assessment and evaluation to BEAG. The Third-Party Conformance Evaluator will determine if the equipment item(s) evaluated passes or fails the conformance evaluation.
   

5. Once the evaluation is completed, the registered company will be invoiced for all fees including equipment evaluation fees, application fees, daily fees for evaluator, travel expenses, and any other applicable expenses related to the evaluation. The invoice is due upon receipt. Regardless of the outcome of the third-party evaluation, all fees are non-refundable.
   

POST-EVALUATION

1. A Recognition of Third-Party Conformance Document for individual equipment will be awarded upon a successful evaluation of each equipment item.

2. The independent Third-Party Conformance Evaluation will be renewed every 4 years.

3. The Recognition of Third-Party Conformance Document cannot be applied to later generation models without a new Application for Third-Party Conformance Evaluation and associated processes. 

4. Special recognition for registered companies that participate in the Third-Party Conformance Assessment Program will be offered. These registered companies may choose to have their company represented on the BEAG website. The registered company may choose to have all equipment items accepted through the Third-Party Conformance Assessment process identified for recognition. BEAG website promotion fees are $175.00.

The recognition is valid for four years. Prior to expiration at the end of the fourth year, the equipment must re-qualify through the third-party assessment process to maintain the recognized status. During that time, annual registration and authorization fees will continue to be paid by the company.
